How do I collect my car subscription in Sydney?

HelloCars is located in Sydney near Parramatta, a short walk from Clyde train station. Once you have booked your car subscription, you will be provided with an appointment time that suits you to collect your car.

How do I pay for tolls in Sydney with car subscription?

Some roads in Sydney require payment through electronic tolls. With HelloCars, there are two ways to pay for tolls while you are subscribed.

  1. Pay through your subscription. If you are a visitor to Sydney or are an infrequent toll user, any toll usage will be charged automatically through your subscription, including a processing fee.

  2. Otherwise, HelloCars recommend fitting your car with an electronic toll tag for the duration of your subscription.

Can I take my car to other states?

Yes, you can. When you choose to subscribe to HelloCars, the best car rental subscription in Sydney, you are permitted to take your vehicle anywhere in New South Wales and the Australian Capital Territory. However, if you are travelling to Queensland or Victoria, you must request and receive written permission from HelloCars. 

If you’re using your car subscription to drive short distances around Sydney city, we suggest opting for our Economy plan as it will be the most economical option for you. While you can still drive your car outside of the Sydney area, you are limited to 175 kilometres per week.

Do I need to pay for anything other than fuel?

Yes. Although your HelloCars weekly car subscription in Sydney will cover the cost of registration, insurance, servicing, maintenance and roadside assistance, you will need to cover the cost of tolls and kilometres travelled in addition to the weekly limit of your plan.

We recommend setting up a toll account and installing an e-tag to pay any toll road fees incurred during your subscription. The relevant toll providers for NSW are E-Toll, E-Way and Linkt. If you do not fit an e-tag to the vehicle, your default option will be to pay toll charges through your HelloCars subscription account. HelloCars will charge you the toll fee, a number plate recognition fee and a $2.50 processing fee per toll charge incurred automatically as part of your weekly subscription payment.

What do I do if I damage my car?

We understand that accidents happen. As soon as you notice any damage to the car, report it to our team for assessment. If you have been involved in an accident, help is never far away — with roadside assistance cover included in your weekly subscription plan. You will not be charged for any damage that falls within the HelloCars Fair Wear & Tear Policy covered in our car subscription costs. Although costs to repair damage above the HelloCars Fair Wear & Tear Policy will be subtracted from the security deposit before being refunded. Where the cost of repair exceeds the value of the security deposit, complete responsibility is with the driver. You will be required to cover the repair costs up to the damage excess amount.

We ask that all collections and returns are made from our offices in Sydney near Parramatta only. Having our offices located outside Sydney airport is one of the many reasons we are able to keep our rates so low, as we don't pay expensive airport fees that would then need to be passed on to our customers.

Can I collect my subscription car in Sydney and return it in another state?

Currently, HelloCars requires that you return the vehicle to the same location that it was collected only.
